The New York GOLD CLASSIC is open to all registered Haflingers showing pleasure style.   Each horse/rider/driver combination will be given its own exhibitor number .   Safe, proper, pleasure type tack and attire required in all classes.  All horses and exhibitors are expected to perform at their appropriate levels.   Two sets of ribbons to 6th place will be awarded in each class (timed and dressage classes one set).  One BEST of SHOW Performance Award, as jointly decided by both judges, will be presented at the conclusion of Sunday’s classes.  This award is not point based.  Additional awards will be given as sponsorships warrant.  NYS Law requires any youth under 14 years of age to wear an ASTM F1163 helmet.  Negative Coggins dated 8/18/06 or later is required.  NEW:  RABIES CERTIFICATES DATED 8/18/2006 OR LATER ARE ALSO REQUIRED FOR ALL HORSES.  Exhibitors may arrive anytime after noon on 8/14.  Show office will be open 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on 8/15 and will re-open at 7 a.m. on 8/16 & at 8 a.m. on 8/17 unless posted otherwise.  Patterns will be posted no later than one hour prior to those classes requiring patterns (i.e. fence, gymkhana, driven obstacles).  Prior to receiving an exhibitor’s number all owners must show proof of registration, negative Coggins, Rabies certificate AND (if from outside New York) a 30-day Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (Interstate Health Certificate) for each horse entering the grounds.  Driven classes guided by ADS rules.  Dressage classes guided by USDF rules (Note: See JR/YR age change).  All handler/exhibitors of stallions must be 18 years or older.  Horses under two years of age may NOT enter any ridden or driven classes. Bedding is available on a pre-order, pre-paid basis and will be at your stall upon arrival (see enclosed form).  Exhibitors may show off trailer for an additional fee of $15 per day.  Grounds management prohibits overnight stabling of any horses on trailers.  Camping $30 per night (applies to RV’s, tents, automobiles, etc....if you are sleeping on the grounds it is considered camping).  Camping is first come, first serve and must be pre-paid.  All paid campers will receive a pass.  Food available on grounds.
